Custodian - Sheridan, IN

"My only goal was to make sure she was not going through classes hungry.

During Covid there was a young lady who would skip lunch on a regular basis. I would come by and sit with her and tell light hearted stories. Eventually I brought my

tray and sat down with her to share thoughts. Over a few days as I offered her food from my tray she would eat and talk.

At the end of the year she gave me a huge coffee cup that said 'Best Guy Ever'. Inside that cup was a letter explaining how I had changed her attitude towards life. She graduated last year and found me just to give me a hug and say 'Thank you'. It was more than I really needed but it was warmly given and warmly received."
